Ka-Cheong Liu is an active musician on the Toronto music scene. Cheong studied in the Humber College jazz program, and with Don Thomson, Shelley Berger and Lennie Boyd. He plays double bass for a number of swing and blues bands and performs on recordings by 1999 Maple Blues award winners Raoul and the Big Time, and by Sensation recording artist Alex Pangman and her Alleycats. Ka-Cheong is also performing in residencies with Swing Street and with Bradley and the Bouncers. He is currently a nominee for the 2001 Maple Blues Awards as bass player of the year. In his spare time, Ka-Cheong sings and writes songs.
